Nike Mens Cortez - White/Black

I've worn these since their original introduction. Bought two new pairs at Nordstrom's a few years ago and have had lots of time with these new versions to the Cortez. It use to be you would buy them a little tight and with a little time they would always break-in. These new "Cortez Leather" shoes stretch a little but they don't break-in. Why, I wondered. It's because they don't contain any leather. Shame on Nike for passing off Vinyl Pleather as Leather because that's what mine are made of. I don't understand how they can pass them off as being Leather? Funny things happen if you try to wipe them down with a little alcohol. The surface finish seems to melt. Perhaps they're a vegetable based vinyl or something like that. Beneath the vinyl top color coat is a black colored base fabric. I want the old true leather Cortez shoes please but these do hold up better to water.

I�m not a �Sneakerhead�, but I do like sneakers. Probably too much.
With over 100 pairs of sneakers, >90% of which are from Nike/Jordan Brand/Nike SB/Converse, I consider myself reasonably equipped to provide a Review.

The Nike Cortez is a classic silhouette, only made better when optioned with Leather materials. While I don�t feel the Leather is of a �premium� quality, it looks/feels proper for a shoe of this price point.

I opted to �size-up� to a M-10 (true size is M-9.5) per the recommendation of Nike, and that seems like the correct decision.

Overall I like this shoe. It�s comfortable, easy to match with different outfit styles�and is so cool in the �Forrest Gump� colorway.

Classic Nike Cortez never disappoint love them.To me they run big im size 10 but with the Cortez im a 9

I love the sneaker�s design�especially that Nike added more room in the toe box. I wear an 8 in Nike (I use the Killshot 2 as my usual fit), so I followed the recommendation to size up half a size for the Cortez. They felt great at first, but after a few hours the leather stretched about half a size, and by the end of the day I was struggling to keep them on. The heel area is quite wide. Buyer beware: consider sizing and how the leather may stretch.

Retro to the max! Great fit and feel. Perfect for lazy days.

Your review was correct, they run small. I did not heed the advice, so I have had to exchange for one size up.

I have been wearing Nike Cortez since I was 30 years old and now I am 77. This is the only sneaker that I have ever worn. The new Cortez quality is the same but you suggested that I go up 1/2 size. This for me was a mistake. They are too big, I will try them on with heavier socks and see if this helps. I would recommend that customers order their regular size. Very good value for the money.

All the memories! I had my first pair of Nikes Cortez back in the 70s. The 2025 version is as comfortable as that first edition!

They looked better online. I thought they were suede and a darker blue swoosh! I see now why they were on sale. I'll live with them, but not happy and .moderately unhappy with the shoes!!!

Easy to style. Extremely comfortable. Like pillows. I�ve worn them twice when on my feet all day, and enjoyed having them on.

Can't go wrong with cortez, old school at its best.

I love these sneakers, they look so good but for me the problem is 9.5 is too tight in width and 10 is too loose in length. I have tried both 9.5 and 10 but i am so disappointed by this situation. I really want to buy 2 pairs. I wish it was slightly wider. Some people say it becomes loose with wear cz it is leather, i am not even sure if its real leather. I love them but i dont know what to do.

My only wish was that there was a Wide size�. for example the size of my shoe is
9� but a 9 W (wide) is what I really need

I�ve been wearing these since I was in my teens so 40 years always liked them. They�ve went up quite a bit in price, but I guess so has everything!! good sneaker

I love the Cortez shoes. I have worn them since they first came out. Glad they are still available, I was told in a Nike store they were no longer available. Very glad they are.

I love the looks and feel of these shoes so much I ordered two more pair in different colors.

The look is still a classic but the subpar material and construction (bad stitching, and glue everywhere) compared to just a few years ago is sad and pathetic.
