Nike (TD) Air Max Phoenix - Black

As a parent of an energetic new walker, finding the right balance between "cool" footwear and actual functionality was a bit of a struggle. The Air Max Phoenix has officially ended that search. These aren't just scaled-down versions of adult shoes; they are thoughtfully engineered for the chaos of toddler life. First off, the look and design is iconic. The cushioning is substantial enough to handle jumping and bouncing, yet the shoe remains impressively lightweight so it doesn't trip her up. After a month of off and on and use, they still look fantastic.

I loved the color of the Air Max Phoenix for my 3-year-old. The red, black, and purple color-way matches so many of his outfits that he wears them almost every day. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are for him as they look snug but he keeps them on without any fuss. The soft foam and cushioning are definitely a plus!

The design is also one of my favorites; they look so cool, especially with the air bubble detail in the back. My only wish is that the shoes were a bit wider since my son has wide feet, but other than that, I wouldn�t change a thing.

My active 2 year old wears a size 7 and is not used to shoes outside the realm of her favorite show characters, so this was definitely our of character for her to choose.

Upon first glance, the Air Max Phoenix is super stylish and even more adorable when made pint-sized (toddler). It elevates her look to being much more athletic and, dare I say it, cool. The black background is great because it's different than all the lighter hues that her shoes typically come in. And for the way she plays outside, black will hide the dirt and messiness much better. Against the black backdrop is a nice metallic purple and pink that somehow contrasts so well, still giving it a girly vibe.

The shoes are so lightweight, which I absolutely like. My two year old isn't the most graceful yet I feel that having lighter shoes help her to move easier without feeling all that bulk at her feet. It's always nice to not feel like you're wearing cinder blocks for shoes.

I was a bit skeptical about these shoes not having velcro at first because it seems that it helps open the shoe wider for chubby feet to get in, but these posed no problem in that department, even which thicker socks. They are true to size so I kind of wish I sized up since these are absolutely great shoes and I want her to be able to wear them longer seeing how their feet grow so quickly.

The only thing I think could be made better was perhaps having more cushion for the feet area and making the sole a bit more flexible.

Firstly I have two under two, a boy and a girl. My 2 year old immediately said they were cute! She instantly started running around in them! She�s usually clumsy, but these stabilized her dramatically. They are so easy to slip on, and the material doesn�t scuff. We have been exclusively wearing these for a while now and they still look brand new! The materials keep her feet dry while providing a ton of comfort. Recently we went out of town and did a lot of walking and she didn�t complain once. The colors are great and unisex. I plan to use them for my son next year when he�s in her current size! They are also great for wider feet and fit true to size.

I love this shoe style! I think the colors are great, and the holographic design aspect is really cool. It makes them great for a variety of outfits.
I love how thoughtful the design is for parents of little ones. The fact that both the tongue and heel of the shoe have finger loops for easy put on/pull off is amazing.
My daughter absolutely loves them, and if she chooses her fit for the day, these shoes are almost always part of it!

These little Nikes are so cute. They kept that same feel of an air max while making it cute wnough for a baby girl. They were easy for my daughter to walk in and also easy to out on. I like the elestic laces. These are definitely a daily pair for my kiddo!

The Nike Air Max Phoenix (Td) are cute shoes for toddlers. I love that they are easy for my daughter to put on and off herself. The no tie laces are perfect for her. They do run a bit big but she will be able to wear them for a long time. The quality seems really nice and I love the fabric design. The little bit of pink makes them girly and perfect for wearing with her jeans and skirts. The only thing I think I would change would to maybe add a strap across the top to make them more adjustable size wise. But we love the shoes and my daughter loves that they look just like adult shoes.

Got these shoes for my boy, and they're a bit snug. I usually get the same size for all his shoes and there's usually some extra room, but these run a bit smaller. I'd suggest going at least half a size up. Love the design! Just wish they had more everyday color way options.

I know the Nike Air Max Phoenix is supposed to elevate style but my son liked these shoes even when he was dressed down. He has wide feet and these shoes did great. There was no struggle to get them on his feet, he keeps them on all day, and his feet don�t look squashed when the shoes are removed at the end of the day.
I think the shoes are more gender neutral so I like that as well. The Air Max Phoenix are so comfortable they�re the first pair of shoes he reaches for when we get ready to leave for the day. So I recommend getting the Phoenix if your child has wide feet.

This review is for the Air Max Phoenix for toddlers. My toddler is very picky about shoes. Very particular about fitment and how they look. I did not think they would like these, but surprisingly love them! We have the colorway in Black, Vivid Purple, and Red in size 7c.

The design is sleek and modern with a graduated dot pattern on the toe box and heel. The red and purple are concentrated at the ends of the shoe and fade into black towards the body of the shoe. The dot pattern reminds me of comic books, very cool design.

The fabric is polyester, easy to clean and seems durable. They've gotten muddy and was easily cleanable with a damp cloth and the sole and heel with an old toothbrush. As a Mom I appreciate this shoe being easy to clean without a bunch of nooks and crannies to get into.

My toddler loves the fitment, easy to get wide feet into with the finger straps on the heel and tongue of the shoes. No complaints of shoes feeling too "squeezy" or anything like that. My toddler can play and run in them all day with no issues whatsoever. I love the built in elastic laces. Nothing to tie, and stretchy enough to get a foot in but also snug enough to keep the shoe on.

Overall a great little shoe for kids. Easy to put on without a grown-up's help, easy to clean, and looks great. I wouldn't change anything about it. If you're looking for a cute, sturdy, and comfy street wear shoe for your kid, try these.

Our little girl loves these sneakers - the red, pink, and shiny copper accents are adorable. The shine is subtle and fun, and the black is a nice, neutral, dirt resistant color. They're sporty and go with just about anything, making them easy and enjoyable to wear!

The protected heel and toe area are perfect for a little one that has no time to slow down and be careful of her feet. The pull on, stretchy laces are perfect for sliding these on and off (often in a hurry). Also, the material seems sturdy, supportive, and easy to wipe clean (we'll see how it goes in the washer when they get that bad, but they seem solid enough to survive even to her little sister's feet). No major mud yet, but when the time comes, they seem like they'd survive just fine.

She says they're comfy and she likes wearing them, which is a total endorsement from a toddler. All in all they're a great investment for little feet if they're in your price range, and a very fun shoe for little ones!

I�m not sure how Nike did it but these are the perfect shoes for little feet! They managed to create a shoe that looks like an adult shoe without using Velcro or laces that need to be tied. We�ve had a lot of kid shoes over the year and these are by far the easiest to get on and off! Parents know how important this is when you have a little one that just won�t sit still.

These are so well made and will be able to be passed down after my daughter is done with them. The fabric is soft but so sturdy and durable! She�s says they�re comfortable and will wear them for a day filled with walking, running and play!

The look of these shoes is sporty and adorable with a splash of pink! I love the black and pink because they go with most of her outfits. She�s really into shine and sparkle so she loves that they look sparkly!

My favorite thing about these shoes is the ease of getting them on her feet. My least favorite thing is we�ll have to buy more when her feet grow because she loves them! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a well made, comfortable, easy and stylish shoe for their kids!

Babies deserve to have rockin� kicks too! Nike continues to have the quality and style we know and love in these toddler shoes! The perfect addition to our little boys� closet. Easy to pair with outfits and match with mom and dad! He seems to really enjoy the color and quality! The stretch laces make it easy for a quick slide on and off. I also really love that the shoe is ergonomic for a growing baby�s foot, which is something important to me when looking for shoes for my son. No complaints from mom, dad, or baby! I would purchase these again for sure!

My daughter is 3 and she has been wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks now. So far we both seem to love them. She started preschool this year and the playground has rubber mulch which almost instantly ruined her other shoes, but these are holding up wonderfully.
The design is super cute, I love the fun colors with the black. The shoes seem to be very comfortable for her and are easy enough to put on all by herself. I absolutely love that they do not have laces that need tied or even have a Velcro strap to mess with. This is super convenient for anyone, but especially at this age.
My only complaint, and I had to look hard for one, is that sometimes the upper part of the lace gets wrapped around the tongue of the shoe. It has only happened a couple times and only takes a second to fix. Overall, these seem to be cute, comfortable, and durable shoes that I would definitely recommend to anyone.

These shoes are too cute! I was so excited to open the Nike box and see them.

Overall, the fit was a little big on my child. They rode up a little higher on the ankles than I was anticipating and she got a blister. However, they�ll fit as she grows and hopefully will break them in.

The design was sporty but not flashy, which I appreciated. It went well with multiple of her outfits and we got quite a few compliments on her little kicks!

I liked most the stability of the shoes and the confidence they gave my daughter to take more steps on her own. They also gave me the reassurance that she wasn�t walking on bare ground and I felt good about what she was walking in. They gave good support and her toes weren�t squished or tight. They won�t impede her foot�s natural growth pattern and that is priceless.

I absolutely love these shoes for my little guy! They are very easy to put on, & as he�s only 2 & trying to do the whole independent thing, he�s been able to take these off! So of course I love that because my hands are usually full when we get in, & being able to take off his own shoes makes him feel like such a big boy! I also love the colors. The majority of the shoe being black makes it where I can put them on w just about any dark colored clothes. That�s a plus when we�ve found something that he likes to wear & doesn�t fight us to get it on. He not only likes that he can take them off by himself, he likes how they feel. I know this because he doesn�t try to get them off shortly after putting them on. As soon as I put them on, he ran to the door to go out & play. I also like how stylish they are. I�d definitely get these for everyone in the house just based off of how cute they are, as well as how comfortable they seem to be for him.

My son loves his Air Max Pheonix shoes! We got the black with red and pink accents. The color is fun and subtle enough to match a ton of different outfits. He has worn them all day at school and also at the park and had no complaints.

My son is between a size 8-9 and we got the 9 so he can grow into them. Even slightly bigger than his current size, they fit him nicely and didn't slip as long as we put him in a thicker sock. The material on the inside of the shoe is a little slippery so if we use a thin pair of socks, he does slip out a little bit. However, since they are about a half size larger than he is in currently it isn't surprising.

I was nervous at first because they look as if they are chunky on the bottom and I thought that my son might think they are heavy. And while, they are heavier than his other sneakers, it isn't something that causes any issues. Once he got used to them, he was walking instead of stomping!

Overall my son loves these shoes. He refers to them as his "fast shoes" when he picks them out! We are definitely looking into the other colors so we can have more options for more outfits!

These shoes seem very comfortable for my 1 year old daughter and were adorable on! They have stretchy laces that make putting the shoes on fat toddler feet easy and there�s no need to worry about retying laces during the day. I love the pop of color while still looking like a classic black sneaker (i.e. easy to match with many different outfits). The hard sole is great for little walkers and the relatively wide toe base makes for comfy long term wear. The air max symbol on the back doesn�t quite match the color scheme with its pop of yellow but that�s a very minor issue.

I recently got the Air Max Phoenix for my 3 year old toddler. These shoes are so cute without trying to choose a gender! I love that these sneakers are made for any toddler who loves pink. My favorite part about this shoes are how easy they slip on my daughters feet. Honestly, the easiest sneaks to slip on her. I don't have to push her heel in or twist her foot. I grab that tab on the front tongue and she slips her foot right in it. I love that little grab on the tongue, so smart. We've had these for a couple weeks now and they are now her go-to tennis shoes. She wears them everywhere, park, grocery store, inside play center. She hasn't complained once about them nor does she immediately take them off when she can. The foam does seem to be compressing quickly, doing a little wrinkling but it could be just what they do a little in the beginning of wearing. We'll see how time goes how much more wrinkling and compression happens. Otherwise, I love these shoes for my toddler and I'm grateful I have them!

These shoes are adorable. They look clean and are functional. The loops on the heel and tongue as well as the elastic maks it so my toddler can put them on and off themselves. At first they reported the shoe was "too tight" but they seemed to break in easily and are more comfortable and supportive of the foot. The design and fabric are both cute and do well in multiple environments. They allow for liquid to roll off them without becoming bogged down immediately, which is convenient for midest falls.

This pair of shoes was the perfect addition to my daughter�s early shoe collections. She loves the color pink and these compliments her outfits daily.

These are ADORABLE! A little tight but our 8 month old loved the shiny colors and that they helped him be a bit more stable in his standing. My husband is a sneaker head and seeing how cute these were on our son opened the flood gates to start our son�s collection.

I loved the look of these right out of the box - so cute! My toddler loved them too and wanted to put them on right away. She liked that they had shiny metallic colors and the colorful sole. She was a bit disappointed that they didn't light up (she thought they would because the heel is transparent) but even after discovering they don't light up, she still liked them. The elastic "shoelaces" are a little tricky for her to pull the shoe on herself (almost 3 years old) but they do help keep her feet in the shoes, so they don't fall off when she starts running (which is all the time). They have a nice wide toe bed to accommodate her chunky toddler feet, but they are slightly narrow through the arch so she can only wear thinner socks with them, not thick winter socks. She says they are comfy and will wear them for long days of playing outside without complaint, which is a huge win! Plus they look super cute (and are mostly black so they don't show dirt easily) so she can wear them with her cute outfits (read: clothes not for playing outside) to go to a birthday party or something.
